In order to participate in the tax sale, investors must register with the Tax Commissioners Office. Registration begins a week before the sale. The registration deadline is 9:30 A.M. the day of the sale. Bring ID. Proxy allowed/ID for investor required. Our procedures have been that as long as there is a person in attendance at the sale (in person) to bid, deliver the cash or certified check and dictate how the deed should be completed, we accommodate, but do not encourage. Even if the arrangement of the in-person bidder is that he or she is not financially responsible for the purchase, we require a signed statement at registration making them legally responsible. We expect the cash or certified check for the full amount within the specified time frame. Our offices are located on the First Floor of the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center at 75 Langley Drive in Lawrenceville. The following information will be required during registration: name of purchaser, address of purchaser with city state and zip, telephone number, county of residence, date of birth, drivers license number and state of issue.
