Cash, Cashier’s check, or Money Order to be paid by 5:00 p.m. sale day by the bidder. All bids are final, and failure to comply could result in a fine of $300.00 for each property. The bidder will receive interest on the whole amount of the bid if property is redeemed within twelve months of the tax sale. Interest will be paid as follows: 3% during the first three months, 6% during months four, five, and six, 9% during months seven, eight, and nine, 12% during the last three months of the twelve month redemption period. However, in every redemption the amount of interest due must not exceed the opening bid amount on the property on behalf of the forfeited land commission. If property is redeemed, the bidder will receive interest as described plus the bid amount. If property is not redeemed in the time allowed,
the bidder will pay cost for deed plus documentary stamps and recording fee when the deed is issued. The purchaser of property at the tax sale acquires the title without warranty and buys at his own risk. Dillon County is not liable for the quality or quantity of the property sold. Property as advertised is subject to withdrawal upon payment of taxes by cash, cashier’s check, or money order by Friday 5:00 p.m. November 4th. No taxes will be accepted the day of the tax sale.
