1. Prospective bidder shall be required to apply for registration IN PERSON at the Tax Claim Bureau:
a. Between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. daily from Monday, August 5, 2024 to Friday,
September 13, 2024, NO exceptions! Mailed, emailed or faxed registrations will NOT be
accepted.
b. Be approved as bidders
2. Separate bidder registration forms for an individual or a business will be available on or about Monday, August 5, 2024, either in person at the Tax Claim Bureau office or on the County website:
schuylkillcountypa.gov Be sure to complete the correct form as no changes may be made after a bidder
number is assigned to you.
3. All registrations must be correctly completed, include the $50.00 non-refundable fee and be brought,
IN PERSON, to the Tax Claim Bureau prior to the deadline, as stated herein.
4. Bidder registrations returned, IN PERSON, to the Tax Claim Bureau by the deadline shall include:
a. The completed registration form for either an individual or a business.
b. A signed and notarized affidavit certifying that the prospective bidder is not delinquent in paying
either municipal bills or real estate taxes within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; that the
prospective bidder is not an owner of, nor has an ownership interest in, any property to be
exposed at the Upset Sale, nor is the prospective bidder acting in accordance with or on behalf of
any such owner, and that the prospective bidder has not had a landlord license revoked in any
municipality within Schuylkill County, nor is the prospective bidder acting in accordance with or
on behalf of any such person. Fee for a Notary, done in the Tax Claim Bureau, subject to
availability, is $5.00.
c. A non-refundable registration fee of $50.00, in the form of a certified or cashier’s check, money
order or cash. NO PERSONAL OR BUSINESS CHECKS, OR CREDIT/DEBIT CARDS WILL BE ACCEPTED
FOR REGISTRATION FEES FOR ANY SALE.
5. The submission of a bidder registration to the Tax Claim Bureau shall constitute acceptance and
acknowledgement by the bidder of all terms and conditions set forth herein. Improper, illegible or
incomplete bidder registrations will be rejected and fee will not be refunded.
