The 2025 Upset Tax Sale conducted by the Lawrence County Tax Claim Bureau originally scheduled and advertised for Friday, September 26 will be continued to October 24, 2025 due to technical issues with new software being used by the Bureau.
Pre-registration dates are Monday, September 8, 2025 8:00 a.m. until 3:45 p.m. Friday, September 12, 2025.
All individual bidders must register in person with proof of identification. If you cannot register in person, you must have a notarized statement or power of attorney authorizing someone to register on your behalf. However, you must attend in person the day of the sale. A registration fee of $500.00 must be paid at the time of registration. Forms of payment are cash, cashier’s check or
money order made payable to Lawrence County Tax Claim Bureau.
Only the registered bidders can attend and bid on the day of sale.
If successful, a deed transferring interest shall only be made in the name of registered bidder. If the applicant is an LLC; you must provide proof prior to the sale that the LLC is registered with the Commonwealth of PA. If the
applicant is a Trust, you must provide documentation that the Trust is registered and that you are the Trustee.
Applicants that are not individuals must include the names of all officers, business addresses and phone numbers. Limited liability companies must include the names, business addresses and phone numbers of all members,
managers, and any persons with ownership interest or right to the limited liability company. A non-individual applicant must have a notarized letter or an Operating Agreement stating the signer has the authority to act on behalf of the applicant.
